Want to play a round of trap or sporting clays without depositing over a pound of toxic lead into the soil? That’s a good goal, and a perfectly attainable one at that when you order a box of Elite Steel Target ammo by Kent!

This 20 Gauge shell is loaded with steel shot. Despite steel’s lesser density than that of lead, this shell still holds the maximum allowable weight of shot for competitive trapshooting at 7/8 ounces. #7 shot is slightly bigger than what’s typically employed for target shooting, but that just helps the steel shot compensate for its relatively lower momentum and downrange velocities.

Kent’s Precision Steel shot is round and uniformly sized, launched out of the muzzle by a high quality wad, and achieves a reliable 1,215 fps muzzle velocity with the aid of the highly reliable CX2000 primer. This shell’s HD hull has a nickel-plated head to reduce friction during feeding and extraction – no need to interrupt your rhythm with a jam!

Kent Cartridge is based in West Virginia. They were founded specifically to provide shooters and hunters with nontoxic shotgun ammunition.
