Steel shot isn’t the exclusive domain of the waterfowl hunter. Upland game hunters may opt in favor of nontoxic, environmentally friendly shot as well! And thanks to Kent, they don’t even have to compromise great accuracy and deadly downrange performance.

This Upland Fasteel shotshell is loaded with the 20 Gauge’s standard 7/8 ounce charge of #7 steel shot. It is Kent’s patented Precision Steel shot, no less, which is exceptionally round to promote the tightest pattern possible. #7 shot is suitable for a variety of birds – dove, quail, partridge, and even rabbit (although rabbits are not technically birds).

Steel lacks lead’s density. But when it is propelled to a muzzle velocity of 1,500 fps, its lighter weight is perfectly compensated for. Kent arms this shell with a full-length wad to protect the bore, and when it leaves the muzzle it opens up fins to ensure clean separation from the shot. The wad additionally has a compression zone in its base to take some felt recoil out of so fast a muzzle velocity’s recoil.

This shell also features Kent’s reloadable HD Hull, intensely reliable CX2000 primer, and double base powder which is specially formulated to burn at a rate which minimizes recoil.
