CMMG's .22 LR conversion kits are a staple among the shooting community both as a drop-in part for .223/5.56mm NATO rifles and for dedicated .22 Upper Receiver builds. Installation is simple: remove the bolt carrier group from your rifle (and piston rod for piston ARs), replace it with this kit, and utilize the included 10-round magazine for simple, affordable plinking. With this method, shooters won't have to change optics, grips, or other controls and can get lots of inexpensive practice during high-volume range drills. The 10-round magazine in this kit is intended to comply with state laws that enforce magazine limits.

This particular kit features an overall stainless steel construction which works well with ample lubrication to keep .22 rimfire fouling from slowing or stopping operation. The frontal brass collar interfaces with your upper's chamber to provide a snug, secure fit with no chance of causing damage to the locking lugs. CMMG suggests that these kits be used with rounded hammers and 36-grain ammunition for the best reliability.

Note: This kit is designed for Right-Handed AR-15's only.

Q: Can I use this kit for a AR15 chambered in 300 Blk out?

A: Greetings Mr 45Guy, thanks for the question! Since 300 blackout is .30 cal we do not recommend firing a .22 cal projectile down through your rifle for multiple reasons. First and for most, safety. The projectile will have very little contact with the barrel resulting in the projectile not being stabilized by the grooves in the barrel. You will have very little if, any accuracy. As shooters we always want to know where our shots are going to land and what is beyond them. Have a great day!
