Rio (a subsidiary of MAXAM, which is one of the world’s biggest names in explosives) loads this ammo in the Lone Star State. “Yeehaw!” That’s what the round’s 1/2-ounce shot column yells as it pours out of the muzzle at a nice and brisk 1,200 fps velocity. That’s #9 shot – the smallest you’re apt to find in a shotgun shell, which is why each short hull contains nearly 300 individual pieces of lead. That spells a thick pattern no matter how you slice it!
Rio’s (understandably) high-quality primers and powder do what they’re supposed to, when they’re supposed to, and cleanly. And because it’s 2-1/2”, that hull is a sure fit inside any 410 revolver’s chambers. You can load it in a Brawler or deringer, too!
