This shell is loaded with a 1/4 oz. rifled slug, loaded to hit 1,542 fps muzzle velocity out of a shotgun. (Interestingly, the shell has approximately the same projectile weight as a 30 Carbine cartridge, but with ~450 fps lower muzzle velocity.) The solid lead cylinder of a slug is “rifled,” which only means its side is grooved to allow safe passage through a choke.
Got a Judge or a Governor? Then we’ll tell you two truths. First, a good 45 Colt load is going to give you way better accuracy. Second, firing this 410 Bore slug ammo in a revolver is fun – and fun does count for something.
Turaç was the first private enterprise in Turkey to obtain a rifled cartridge production permit. The company currently produces over 200 million rounds of ammo each year, which includes its Sterling brand shotgun shells.
