The M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) is capable of firing 1,000 rounds per minute. The SAW remains a formidable weapon even once it has run out of ammunition – at 17 lbs empty, you can simply run up and bludgeon the target with the LMG. But the target might have ammunition of their own, in which case bludgeoning forms a poor attack strategy. This ammo pouch is designed to hold 200 rounds of 5.56/223, so it’s a fine addition to pretty much any American arsenal. This pouch is made of 500 denier Cordura nylon with heavy stitching. Its MultiCam pattern means it will become incredibly hard to find if you drop it on the ground. The ammo pouch quickly mounts to any S.T.R.I.K.E., PALS or MOLLE platform courtesy of the straps on its backside, and its removable internal lid keeps ammo secure yet easily accessible at all times.
