The Howard Leight Impact Sport Electronic Shooting Earmuff has a noise reduction rating of 22 decibels. This is sufficient to cancel out a firearm’s loud, jarring reports and prevent damage to the sensitive little bones and membranes inside of your ears. It is indispensable protection whether you’re plinking, target shooting or hunting.
When this high-tech earmuff is switched on, its integral directional microphones detect and amplify any sounds quieter than 82 dB. This enables you to hear your buddies, the rangemaster, and even any animals you’re out hunting. But when a noise exceeds 82 dB – a gun shot, for example – the microphone automatically deactivates to spare your poor ears.
This earmuff features Howard Leight’s Air Flow Control technology, which gives it a low profile that won’t snag on the stock of your rifle while you’re bringing it up to aim. It is fully adjustable to fit any size noggin, has a 3.5mm audio jack for compatibility with music players and radios, and turns off automatically to preserve battery life.
Two AAA batteries included. One set of batteries provides approximately 350 hours of usage.
