It's what ever you make it into
Solid for what it is. And that is whatever you make it. Infinitely adjustable. I have one cross draw on chest rig and one on a bedside setup. Both hold my model 92 with rail lighting. Good value in the right application
These holsters are normally $60-$80 and are the exact same thing I used in the army. You can get it high enough to just use one strap which is how drop legs should be used. It clears my eagle maritime CIRAS vest and fits my FNX-45 tactical with an Inforce APL perfect. Probably going to have to buy another for my glock.
Find another holster fully adjustable for this price good luck. It is designed for what it is. Leg straps seem to hold well. Secures Firearm well. Was able to make it fit 3 different weapons in less that 10 minutes just playing with it. Very intuitive to use.
Great holster just a little bulky. I have shoulder injuries so a lot of raising my arm to manipulate my Glock was causing me trouble. This holster provided easy and comfortable access. It is a little bulky but still did what I needed it to do.
Same holster as issued to the us military ,modified it to fit my 6"long slide 1911,Easy to convert to left hand configuration ,sure it is a little bulky but it will hold ,secure and protect my weapon under the harshest of conditions.Has double retention system if you choose to use it,Best value for the dollar i have experienced in a lon time
Velcro for days
I really didn't know what to expect when I was ordering this holster but for the price and awesome shipping I couldn't turn it down. (I was needing a holster to begin with) The holster is nice but it comes with a lot of extra velcro attachments and soft loops with really no instructions over how to begin taking it apart to make it fit your gun. After a while of fighting with the holster I was able to make it as tight as possible for my Berretta and even with that gun wiggles a little bit causing pulling on your pants and belt. I'm 50/50 over this holster but only time will tell
I own 5 of these holsters. Each is configured for a different gun. I have used 3 of them extensively and have nothing but praise for these holsters. Great price. Great service from Luckygunner as always. What else could you ask for?
Eagle Ind. Quality
These holsters from Eagle are just perfect, especially for the price LG has them for. I fit them right up for a couple FNP-45's and I could not be happier with this purchase. Lucky Gunner's fast shipping and service is tops.
Works, not great for 1911
I've adjusted it for my Rock Island Armory GI 1911 and my Para Ordnance P12 LDA. It works OK, but the holster is large. I would definitely trust it to retain my gun if I rolled down a hill. I prefer my leather slide holster for my expected use cases. YMMV.
The "safety" strap is designed for a pistol you would carry with the hammer down (or effectively hammerless). So, for a 1911, this holster works better if you carry in condition 2 or higher. Can't comment on a 9mm Beretta, which is what I think it's really designed for.
So, for me, 4 for Performance.
Value is 5 because I got it for $10. It is very well constructed, quality 5. You do need a manual to make best use of its features. That's available online.
Perfect for my intended use
I mounted this on the molle webbing on the back of my seat covers. It's big and bulky (minus one star), but for my use, that wasn't a deal breaker. I also removed most of the straps. My 1911 fits and so does my G17. For $10, you cannot beat it.
I like the fact that the holster can be place right or left handed position. The material is tuff and padded well to protect my firearm. I have a light/laser that is attached to the rail two popular 9mm makes and both fit snug. Glock17 and CZ75P07 if wanted to know with rail laser attached. I wish there was option for Velcro strap instead of clip strap over the stricken in holster. For the money, can't beat the quality.
Great Service, Product not what I expected
The service was great, the product does not fit any of my weapons very well, but for the cost of return it is not worth the issue. I will stick with the ammo purchases they are good.
Excellent fit for my 1911!
Excellent fit for my 1911! Bought some extras for friends, and they were all well received. The ability to convert for left-handers was a terrific idea; one of my friends was a 'lefty.'
Will keep my eyes peeled for more great products on Lucky Gunner!
Good holster, great price.
Works well with most of my full size pistols. Except the one with the extended ported barrel. I think with a minor modification it will work with it as well. It would have been nice if there were instructions to assist with configuring for left hand use.
P.S. Seen a review of this holster on Youtube from a couple of years ago and he said he paid around $69. I felt sorry for him he should have checked out Lucky Gunner first!
Bought three and liked them so much, I bought four more! I adapted them for each handgun that I own. Gave one to one of my friends that is a southpaw. He reconfigured it in less than 10 minutes. These are well made, rugged and priced to move! Don't delay, you won't be sorry!
Angela , once again lucky gunner has outdid themselves , the holster is great and the quality is top notch .
lucky gunner is one of the few places online that always surpasses my goals
thank you and all your team for the hard work . steve
Very Goog Even My Friend liked it.
I had to swop to left side which help me a lot as I just had a Right Hip replacement. Fits my Ruger perfect .I really like the price too. I keep you on my hot list on computer all the time. Thanks Joseph Saucier
It was inexpensive...
It was cheap enough that you really can't go wrong... It has molle straps on it that work great on my backpack when I'm hiking. As far as it's intended purpose... No way I would ever consider it. I strapped it on my leg once at home, laughed out loud, and removed it. Might as well bring a couple more guns with you in your pockets for how bulky it is. It secures my 92 very securely, but it's just too bulky to use as a leg holster. I'm still very happy with my purchase, as this holster works great for securing and protecting whatever you want to put in it. Very sturdy.
well constructed, after fine adjustments, securely holds weapon
service from Lucky Gunner was excellent. Unit came with no instructions so I just put it away until I felt like dealing with it. Went on line just today and found an excellent, well illustrated instructions. Assembly was easy with the guide. Recommend this product to all.
Mad props!!! love this thing
1. tactical drop/MOLLE platform holster(nowhere in title or description does it say concealed carry)
2. fully configurable, ambidextrous(meaning instructions would be next to pointless since EVERY gun is different....kinda like women-_^)
3. make sure you understand what this holster is before you buy it
All the above being stated, this holster is just downright awesome for it's quality and value. The extreme retention of this holster is amazing, I would feel vary comfortable crawling through mud with this thing and feel secure in the knowledge that my pistol is going to be there when I need it(might have to clear the barrel of debris before firing. LOL). If you are in a area with open carry laws and want to display your piece proudly? then this is the holster for you. I received this product early today( thank you lucky gunner and fedex for the gloriously fast shipping), and once I had time to sit down and play with it only took me 20 minutes to get it completely setup, and understand I had to tear the whole thing down to switch it over for left hand use. So for potential buyers, if you find yourself getting frustrated trying to set this up, step back and just look at the thing, it's fairly straightforward, and is only hard to pull apart and put back together because if it was easy it could come apart without you wanting it to do so. So in conclusion thank you lucky gunner for carrying and selling (at an awesome price) this holster, fits my PPQ like a glove.
Great for what it is
This is the first holster of this style that I have purchased so I will use this as my baseline.
I find to be very comfortable and very adjustable.
Getting if configured to fit my firearm took a few minutes to understand the process but was not that difficult.
The worst part was the rough fingers from all the velcro.
For the price I would buy another one.
I am satisfied with the configuration, quality and cost
I am not a patient man, my wife was the one who re-configured the rig. To me it was complicated and frustrating to set up. there were no instructions. my wife is a seamstress and she too had difficulty. maybe put a detailed parts list and some illustrations to set up or suggestions on use of the numerous parts to the puzzle...
once configured it is just what I needed for tactical matches
Fully customizable ambidextrous holster, and as such fits my
Taurus judge perfectly with a few strap cinches. Honestly couldn't be much easier to configure to your piece. Fantastic drop-leg holster for your field gun of choice.
Had imported copy and this model is made in USA. Nicely constructed. Since I could compare it with what I foolishly bought at another place.. This is quality.. It did not come with instructions but they are available from the manufacture in the USA. Too late for me to return the other place quide junk but glad I purchased this item. So happy with purchase.. Fast delivery of course
Was blowed away with the craftsmen ship of this holster. My Springfield fits in it perfectly. Have not had to use it a lot yet but it works great and is a great buy. If you are looking for a great buy and holster all in one this is it .
Eagle Industries configurable leg drop holster
Bought to use with a variety of weapons (1911/92F, etc) for range purposes and, if it works out well enough, for some competition. Appears to be well made ands capable of handling weapons with lights.
Very well made, but it is bulky
I think I like the Holster. It took a little bit to configure it the way I wanted but is certainly is versatile enough to make even the slightest modification to control how it hangs and holds my gun. I am using a standard 1911A and it fits well. I will work a bit to get it to set just a little bit higher. Being a shorter armed person it hangs a bit lower than I want. It is bulky and it not slim by any means but working and going through even the roughest terrain I do not think anything is going to dislodge my gun from me. I fee comfortable that I could roll around on the ground doing anything and this would not come off nor would it loose the gun. But if you want something that is not extremely noticeable, then this is not the choice at all. Everyone will know it is there. It is a great OPEN carry option.
Good for the price but cumbersome
The quality of this holster is very good and it's well built. I found it extremely cumbersome to fit to a pistol and no product schematics or component instructions were provided so it's more a "figure it out on your own" adventure. The safety straps were particularly challenging to position and adjust properly and I eventually removed one and repositioned the other (the snap safety) to be usable for this weapon. If I was to need it for any type of maneuvering, I would have to put more work into positioning the safety straps. For the sale price I paid, and for recreational use or as a side arm to carry for hunting aggressive prey (hogs), it was a decent quality for the value. I would not recommend it for serious tactical uses.
Great for pistol with laser
I got this because I needed a good holster for my Taurus PT845 with a laser sight on the rail. This holster adjusts in various ways to accommodate almost any gun so it was a perfect fit. Carrying a gun on the thigh is so comfortable I almost want to start wearing a long coat year round just so I can use it for concealed carry :-)
Solid, Functional Holster That Works Well For Lefties
I bought this holster for hunting with my Glock 20 10mm. I didn't want to spend a lot for an occasional use holster, and I needed a left hand model. The holster components are heavy ballistic woven nylon, and are held together with a lot of Velcro. It was easy to reverse the holster from a right hand to left hand setup. I also needed a holster that would not only accommodate the full size Glock, but also an extended barrel (I hunt with a six inch barrel which extends 1.5" beyond the pistol frame). To accommodate the longer barrel, I had to remove a bolt from the muzzle end of the holster, and now the Glock with the extended barrel fits fine. There is a nylon flap that folds up from the bottom, so the bottom of the holster is not open. The holster also has both a snap open (thumb break) keeper, and an addition strap for extra security for when you are walking or climbing. The one negative on the holster is that it is significantly more bulky that the molded kydex holsters, but it is appears to be very solid, and it protects everything on the pistol except for the grip. All in all, I am very satisfied with both the product and the price.
Got two and both work well
I purchased this drop-legged holster for two reason. One was to use it for when I am out in the woods and the second was to give one to a friend. My friend loves his holster and uses it constantly when he is outdoors. His response is that his firearm is well secured and being on the leg is out of his way for his outdoor work and recreation.
As for my holster, I am a leftie so I had to reconfigure the drop-down for a left hand draw. It was relatively easy to move most of the straps, etc. but to put them back into place, instructions and tips would have helped. (Tip use a butter knife to help move the straps when they go under loops and other straps. Instructions either online or with the package would be helpful.
Regardless of the change over problems, I have to rate the holster high. If there was just one thing about the holster itself that I would complain about, it would be the bulkiness. But this is offset by the fact that this holster has two straps that hold your gun in. One is a general hold-down for when you are traveling and moving about without threat. This one you release when getting ready to enter a danger zone. The other strap is more of a safety strap that you snap off when getting ready to draw or while drawing your gun. A lot of drop-downs that I've seen have only one strap. The extra security of holding your gun in the holster is a great benefit.
Awsome Leg Drop!
I purchased 3 of these holsters; one for myself and one each for my daughter and son in law who are both in the military. The versatility of being able to use it with so many different weapons is what first grabbed my attention. The fact that they are made in the good ol' USA was the final selling point. As always, the folks at Lucky Gunner were awsome! I always receive my purchases from them in a maximum of two days! Super service! Lucky Gunner is my go to site for ammo and accessories.
There is a lot of velcro in this product. Which is not a bad thing, you can adjust it to fit almost anything (I imagine anyway). Light weight and very adjustable to your body and clothing.
One note. The security straps on the top are a little far apart for smaller guns. My XDm 45 Compact fits nicely, but the security strap on the top front barely covers it. Not sure it would secure the gun if you were very active (like combat maneuvers, up and down) by itself, without the second security strap on the top back. The top back security strap fits it perfectly. But with the only safety on the XDm being the palm grip, this strap keeps it depressed. So that is something to keep in mind when you have a round chambered. The gun fits very well and is completely inclosed, so not much chance of an accidental trigger pull while holstered (just something to keep in mind).
Very happy with this item, price, shipping and Lucky Gunner (as always with those last three).
Great Quality Drop-Leg Holster
It is adjustable enough to where I can even get my Desert Eagles seated in there securely.
The only change I would request is for the top thigh wrap-around strap - I wish it had a stable entry point as the bottom one does instead of it being free-flowing meshing the MOLLE straps.
Nothing major, just something minor I would prefer.
Great quality (especially for the sale price currently running) - let's hope it lasts as well!
Very nice holster
Overall a very nice drop leg holster. Easily adjustable to any full size pistol.
Securely holds your pistol and attaches easily to your belt and leg.
Only downside I can see is it seems a bit bulky. Not at all heavy, just sort of thick looking kinda.
As always, luckygunner.com delivered quickly and provided a great value.
Great deal and a great product
I bought 2 of them and I wish I had bought more. Great holster. It is solid and looks like it will last. It is very comfortable to wear and it is very easy to use. Great deal on a great holster.
Solid Drop-Leg Holster
This was the best deal I found on a good quality dropleg holster. And you can't beat the speed of LuckyGunner shipping! Man you guys are fast! Anyways, if you're looking for a comfortable and versatile OSWB holster for your full-frame automatic handgun, buy this holster. You won't find a better value anywhere.
