You there! Want to eat the best thing you have ever tasted? Then you don’t want an MRE. But when you’re cold, and hungry, and home feels like it’s thousands of miles away, and you don’t know when you’ll get to sleep indoors again … well, under those circumstances, an MRE simply cannot be beaten.
These are MIL-SPEC MREs: precisely what Unce Sam’s boys have for breakfast, lunch and supper. The most ingenious thing about the MRE isn’t the hermetically sealed pouch of food itself, but its heating mechanism: flameless, and activated as soon as you pour a little water into it.
We cannot promise the exact date of manufacture vis-à-vis the MREs you would receive, but we promise they were cooked up recently. The packaging will indicate the production date. This case contains 12 individual MREs, each with its own disposable heater. Entrées can include any of the following:
• Beef shredded in barbecue sauce
• Beef stew
• Beef strips in tomato sauce
• Beef taco filling
• Cheese pizza slice
• Chicken chunks
• Chicken with egg noodles and vegetables
• Chili macaroni
• Chili with beans
• Elbow macaroni and tomato sauce
• Meatballs in marinara sauce
• Spaghetti with beef and sauce
