Video Transcript:
CCI's Blazer line of ammo is intended for inexpensive target and range use, and comes in both brass and aluminum case varieties.
Blazer Aluminum has been in production since 1980, and offers a low-cost alternative for shooters who don't reload.
For this test, we ran Blazer Aluminum's 180 grain 40 Smith & Wesson ammo. It features a full metal jacket and non-corrosive primers.
The aluminum casings make the ammo a little more lightweight than brass or steel. That doesn't really have any effect on function, it's just makes your range bag a little easier to haul around.
Accuracy was pretty good from a 15-yard bench rest, using a Sig P226. We didn't have any reliability issues in any of our test guns.
If you prefer to practice with American-made ammo, but don't like throwing away those nice shiny brass cases, then try Blazer Aluminum.

This ammo is the cheapest that I could find for 1000 rounds of .40. It isn't the nicest ammo but my Sig and my girlfriends XDM have had no problem eating this ammo. I would definitely recommend this ammo to anybody on a budget. (Posted on 10/11/12)Performance Value Quality - good but not great Review by nanhal

I have had a few feeding problems with a modified Xdm/40 cal. over all ok, but will probably stay with brass cases and spend the few extra dollars. (Posted on 9/12/12)Performance Value Quality - will do it again Review by creteman

my xdm had no problems with them except for 4 rounds with bad primers (Posted on 7/11/10)Performance Value Quality - Decent ammo Review by Sarge

These rounds functioned flawlessly in my M&P 40. The aluminum cases fed and ejected with no problems and the powder is clean burning. They aren't as accurate as some of the top shelf ammo but at 25 yards I was able to keep all my shots within a six inch circle. Decent, fairly accurate rounds that I would not hesitate to buy again.
