If casual practice is getting expensive, look to Blazer. Blazer uses aircraft-grade aluminum that’s heat-treated to make an economical cartridge case. As the case is the most expensive component of any cartridge, our aluminum case lets us give you a cartridge that has all the performance of brass-case ammo at a more attractive price.

We load Speer bullets and CCI primers, both with a long record of happy users. Blazer is a great option to reduce the cost of practice, letting you shoot more, and more often.

Video Transcript:

Blazer Aluminum is CCI's low-cost ammo that's great for the range, especially if you don't reload. The case is actually aluminum instead of brass or steel. It's overall really lightweight, but otherwise functions just like any other ammo. Bullets are normal speer full metal jacket with CCI primers.

CCI has been making this ammo since 1980, and it remains popular with shooters today due to the combination of low-cost and good performance. We tested the 9mm, 124 grain version of this ammo. And just like the 115 grain we tested, this ammo ran great in all of our test guns. Accuracy was pretty good, too, as you can see from this 10 shot group at 15 yards.

If you don't reload, and you want a low-cost American-made training ammo, then Blazer Aluminum is worth a try.

Lewis Drash ( Mon, 30 Jul 2012 03:00:29 +0000 ) : so, the more ammo u buy, the cheaper the price?
Heidi Gunner ( Mon, 30 Jul 2012 12:18:09 +0000 ) : In most cases this is true, and if it's a case where tiered pricing is not available for the ammo price itself, shipping per round also dereases as you add more to the cart.

Customer Reviews

No problems shooting this ammo Review by Cheldric
A day's outting with 4 shooters - 1 Springfield Armory XDM, 2 XDS's, a Smith & Wesson 5906 9MM, a WWII Luger, and a WWII MP40 on full auto. Not one misfire or jam. (Posted on 11/19/14)
Very good ammo and Service by Lucky Gunner. I will definitely buy again. Review by Jim M
Ran 500 rounds through my Glock and Steyr with no FTE/FTFs. Great for target practice. (Posted on 10/27/12)
Second order: same outstanding results Review by Lenman
I've waited a while to post my review of my second order. Wanted to shoot 2 or 3 hundred rounds to validate the quality of the ammo. It has been ourstanding. My first order was for 500 rounds- successfully fired without any problems. On the second order of 1000 rounds - so far so good. What has impressed me about LG is the ease of ordering and moving around the site. Once the order was placed, it seemed the delivery showed up an my door the next day...It was actually a few days later.

I enjoy shooting and want the best bang for my buck..... I've found my go to supplier... As that famous orator once said: I'll be baaack! (Posted on 9/24/12)
All aroun great Review by Keitho

Good turn around time, quality and price Review by zombiecat
I will probably do a 2nd review after I have shot off more rounds, only 200 so far. Have shot 50 from a 92 FS, 50 from PX4 Storm C no problem good all around. Shot 100 rounds from a new NANO had 2 stove pipes in the 1st 50 rounds, understandable, new gun. Placed my order on a Friday and rcvd it Wednesday. I'll be back! (Posted on 6/9/12)
9mm and .45ACP Review by Random Person 28
Overall Great Ammo. Similar in price to the Russian steel cased ammo (wolf, Tulammo, etc.) out there, but burns a lot cleaner. Accuracy is the same as all the other brands in the target/range ammo market. I will say the primers are slightly harder than other American and Russian brands. My Ruger 9mm (both the SR9 and P95) had a tougher time with this ammo due to its softer firing pin (only one FTF per box, but I dont blame the ammo rather Ruger for this design fault). For the price you really cannot go wrong. Remember you cannot reload these cases, they are aluminum. Plus check with your range or club if you are able to fire steel/ Aluminum cases, some don't allow anything other than brass cases. Good Shooting!! (Posted on 5/21/12)
