This shotshell isn’t just inordinately powerful. It is also thoroughly engineered to chuck as much of its #4 shot into as narrow a circle as possible. Each shot pellet is armored in copper plating, which helps it resist deformation (A) in the barrel, thereby promoting tighter patterning, and (B) after impact, thereby promoting deeper penetration through Mr. Turk. The shot column is also suspended in Grex, which cushions the pellets as they accelerate down the barrel. Grex keeps the hard shot pellets from mashing into each other, which promotes a – you guessed it! – tighter pattern.
