Hunters nationwide have hailed Remington Core-Lokt as the right ammo since 1939. Now that Remington is packaging that trusted performance in handgun ammunition, even a 5” barrel can put it to great use!
This round’s 200 grain bullet is specifically optimized to exhibit its fullest potential out of a handgun-length barrel (which isn’t to say that PCCs cant get in on this action, too). The JHP’s jacket isn’t bonded to its core, but it is physically attached to it – the reason why it reliably combines deep penetration with up to 2X expansion.
Check out these approximate ballistic performance data (5” barrel; 0.095 G1 BC):
0yds: 1,110 fps | 547 ft lbs | -0.2”
25yds: 1,036 fps | 477 ft lbs | 0.9”
50yds: 980 fps | 426 ft lbs | 0.0”
75yds: 934 fps | 387 ft lbs | -3.2”
100yds: 895 fps | 356 ft lbs | -8.8”
And this ammo’s cases? Nickel plated, because that prevents the kind of friction and corrosion that can hinder functionality!
