Steel shot is the environmentally friendly choice for upland hunting! But what if we told you that 12 Gauge hunting ammo can get even more environmentally friendly than that? You’d have to believe us, because we’ve got BioAmmo Game Steel for sale!

This round’s wad and hull are both primarily made of corn starch. You can’t use them to thicken soup, but you also don’t have to worry about their environmental impact after they hit the ground. That’s because they’re bio-compostable – i.e. edible to little bacteria and algae and fungi, which will happily devour the components over the course of about a couple of years. The shell’s alloy base will harmlessly rust away into oblivion, as will its steel shot, so you’ll leave zero lasting evidence of your hunt behind.

A couple (hopefully obvious) caveats about this ammo:
1. It is not reloadable.
2. It is not suitable for long-term storage. The manufacturer says it’ll stay good under normal climatic conditions for at least 5 years.
