You can hunt for turkeys using nitroglycerine. You don’t want to get caught with it, and you definitely don’t want to trip while you’re carrying it. The volatile explosive will also mostly evaporate a turkey, so you’ll have little to show for all your efforts.

That said, you’ll be much better off hunting with Remington’s Nitro Turkey 12 Gauge ammo. This is a standard-length 2-3/4” shell, so it’s fit for duty in any shotgun, and its performance is perfect for bagging gobblers!

This shell is loaded with 1-1/2 ounces of #5 shot, so about 255 0.12" diameter pellets in total. Remington’s Nitro Turkey lead shot pellets are just as hard as copper-plated shot, thus giving them tight-patterning and deep-penetrating performance for a lower cost. This shell’s resilient shot spreads even more efficiently courtesy of its granulated buffering, which absorbs the jolting energy of ignition before it can flatten down the contents of the shot column.

This round is also armed with Remington’s Power-Piston one-piece wad, which even further serves to tighten up downrange patterns, as well as the sensitive primer and fast-burning powder it needs to realize a consistent 1,260 fps muzzle velocity.
