We’re glad the duck isn’t our national bird. It would make the USMC emblem look silly. Better it should have second place as one of our nation’s favorite game birds.
Ducks aren’t too happy to have that title, but they won’t have a say in matters once you’ve stocked up on American-made (originally OR; moved to MO in ‘25) Hevi-Steel 12 Gauge ammunition.
This shell is a real strong bee treat – and by that we mean one powerful honey. It’s a normal two-and-three-quarter-incher with a 1-1/8 ounce #3 steel shot payload. But its powder! Goodness gracious, that powder, which throws those 172 hunks of steel at a muzzle velocity of 1,500 feet per second. That’s a 4-1/2 dram equivalent! Raw power almost on par with the 308 Win!
