This shell is loaded with one ounce of #7.5 shot, a favorite among trap and sporting clays fans for turning discs into potsherds. The precision sorted lead shot is made extremely hard with the addition of antimony, and harder still by its copper plating. Such hearty shot is protected against deformation even further by Winchester’s AA wad, which also serves to reduce the amount of felt recoil the shooter is subjected to. It all comes together to deliver extremely dense, uniform, and above all accurate spreads dozens of yards downrange.
This satin surfaced shell features a nickel plated head, which significantly reduces metal-on-metal friction to guarantee the smoothest feeding and extraction. Such a hull would make a fine starting point for any reloading project. Winchester’s primers won’t harm your shotgun with corrosive salts, nor will their propellant create excessive carbon fouling.
