Not sure which ammo you should choose for trap or sporting clays? Start with this one. It’s loaded with #8 lead shot, which is handy for cracking clays in light of its smaller size. A 1-1/8 ounce pile of the stuff equals 461 individual pellets, and therefore a dense pattern. Those pellets are rigid, and braced by a unique wad column that further protects them from deformation by recoil. That’s the driving force behind this ammo’s consistent patterns. And at 1,200 fps muzzle velocity (3 dram equivalent), you won’t have to deal with all that much recoil. You’ll definitely feel it, but it won’t be as ferocious as most hunting loads.
This ammo’s made in Minnesota by a company that’s over 100 years old. It’s not the fanciest stuff on the market, but that also means it’s not the priciest stuff on the market. And you get an even better deal when you buy the whole case, which we strongly advise doing.
