Lead is our favorite heavy metal, but even its biggest proponent has to admit lead’s greatest shortcoming: It’s toxic. That means lead shot isn’t welcome in every part of the country, and it’s not necessarily something you want polluting your own land for that matter. That’s why this 12 Gauge ammo by NobelSport is such a great buy!

This target load is designed for trap and sporting clays, but it would be preposterous – preposterous – to suggest that its #7 steel shot couldn’t couldn’t put a dent in your local area’s upland game populations as well. Those 1/10” shot pellets are completely nontoxic, of course, but they are also smooth and round enough to deliver reliably dense patterns.

This shell’s muzzle velocity is quite higher than the average target load’s. That is intentional, as it compensates for steel’s lower density to ensure it retains sufficient momentum to shatter a clay pigeon a few dozen yards downrange. But recoil isn’t too stout, because this shell’s shot weighs 1 ounce instead of 1-1/8!
