This 12 Gauge shell by Remington is about as good as it gets for hunting hog and deer with a rifled bore shotgun. It’s packing a 438 grain sabot slug – at just a fraction heavier than an ounce and loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,450 fps, that beast of a projectile deals almost 1,400 ft lbs of energy at 100 yards!

And this ain’t just no ordinary slug. It’s a TTSX by Barnes, made of 100 percent copper so it’s near indomitable as it tears a deep hole into its target. As the TTSX penetrates, its polymer tip thrusts downward into its deep nose cavity, forcing six sharp-edged petals outward to cut a broad wound channel through tough tissue. And because the TTSX slug has a BC of 0.2, it keeps a flat trajectory that’ll make it far easier to line up the perfect shot. Your quarry’s bacon or venison will become all yours by way of your marksmanship!

Remington pairs Barnes’ accurate and deadly slug with a high quality plastic sabot to ensure proper stabilization upon exiting the muzzle. Big Green’s primer and propellant are both clean burning, and their fluted plastic hull should cycle freely through any type of shotgun.

Please note: This shell’s sabot slug is intended exclusively for rifled bore shotguns. A smoothbore will fail to correctly stabilize a sabot slug and deliver appalling accuracy as the result.
