Winchester loads these AA series 12 Gauge target loads to international specifications. Technically, this shell is not loaded with 7/8 ounces of shot. It is loaded with 24 grams of shot, which equals 0.846 ounces (as opposed to 0.875 ounces). That means one round lets loose 296 individual shot pellets.
This shell’s shot column may be lighter than usual, but that just means it’s able to achieve a fast muzzle velocity of 1,325 fps without generating a whole lot of added recoil energy in return. The shell’s hinged AA wad further serves to soften felt recoil, so you’ll avoid fatigue while simultaneously realizing reduced muzzle flip.
