Two hundred 12 Gauge shotshells – hot off the press! YAF brand shotshells are produced by ZSR Patlayıcı Sanayi in Balıkesir, Turkey, and this case of potent ammo is all you and your shotgun need to start putting lots of holes in things!
These shells are loaded with nine pellets of 00 buckshot apiece. This isn’t low-recoil ammo by any stretch of the imagination. The Gualandi Bior plastic wad is hinged so it can collapse during ignition, but there’s only so much it can do when it’s working with a 1-1/5 ounce shot column and 1,378 fps muzzle velocity. That gives each shot pellet a muzzle energy of approximately 246 ft lbs, which is actually within the minimum range typically advised for self-defense. Multiply that effect by nine, and it’s easy to appreciate why no home invader would want to square off against a shotgun loaded with YAF’s hard-hitters. Good for hunting and target practice, too!
