Turkey hunters have come a long way from the blunderbuss. Fire a modern Remington Premier Magnum Turkey High Velocity shotshell, and you’ll see accuracy like you might have thought could only come from a rifle!

This 3” magnum 12 Gauge load is brimming with #4 lead shot – 1-3/4 ounces of the stuff, as a matter of fact, which delivers a dense pattern that is almost 240 pellets thick! Remington plates this shell’s shot pellets with copper to keep that deadly barrage even tighter until it can hit a gobbler hard and keep on going. This shell is also loaded with granulated buffering, yet another feature which wards off deformation which could have loosened its pattern and dulled its accuracy.

Remington didn’t just focus on the shot column. This shell’s one-piece Power Piston wad is engineered to promote even greater accuracy, and its hyper-charged powder pushes so much shot to a muzzle velocity of 1,300 fps. That gives the copper-plated shot big knockdown power over long distances. This shell’s only shortcoming is that it doesn’t come with the gravy a turkey dinner calls for.
