This ammunition is not intended for smoothbore shotguns. Accuracy is dependent on the presence of rifling, which the plastic sabot needs in order to impart rotational stability to the slug.

This 12 Gauge magnum shell’s slug? It looks rather like a giant jacketed hollow point bullet, which it more or less is. But instead of one jacket, it has two – both bonded, thus bestowing the projectile with the fortitude it needs in order to crash through bone, muscle, and gristle alike.

The slug’s dual-jacket design enables it to deliver truly harmful terminal expansion. The outer jacket peels outward until it sticks out six pointy protrusions. The inner jacket curls inward, which helps keep the core intact while its nose cavity produces expansion. Factor in the lightweight (~17/20 ounce) slug’s ferocious 1,875 fps muzzle velocity, and you’ve got all the makings of a massively effective solution to hunting any medium game roaming the landscape! Even an elk’s no match for this beast.
