This shell has the 16 Gauge’s standard single ounce of shot. #6 shot is a bit bigger than what people usually choose for taking all but the largest upland game birds like pheasant and partridge and such, and it’s a fine choice for rodent and lagomorph detail as well. Remington’s lead shot always impresses with its firmness and sphericity, so you can expect even their everyday hunting loads to pattern well and hit hard within range.
Remington’s hulls are ribbed for strength and durability. That’s always a big perk when it comes to 16 Gauge, which isn’t quite as easy to find as 20 and 12. It’s the curse of the middle child.
