This 20ga shell is loaded with a single ounce of #4 shot. Thirty percent of those pellets are Federal’s own FliteStoppers, which have raised ridges around their centers. The FliteStopper’s edge helps it slice through plumage before stamping a wide hole through whichever bird lies beneath. The remaining 70% of the shot pellets are normal spherical copper-plated lead. The hard pellets endure fast acceleration without going too flat to pattern efficiently, and also resist deformation so they can enter more deeply into their target.
This shell features Federal’s beloved FliteControl Flex wad. Its flexible rear fins splay outward to promote more efficient ignition, as well as promote even detachment from the shot column immediately following expulsion from the muzzle.
