Maybe you go skeet shooting so you can become a better hunter. That is a noble ambition because it means your bird dog will be less disappointed in the future. Or maybe you play a lot of skeet because you want the people you compete against to become disappointed. It’s all the same to Federal, who makes their Gold Medal 20 Gauge ammo specifically for the range!

This yellow shell is loaded with 7/8 ounces of lead shot. That’s the heaviest column permissible by the National Skeet Shooting Association rule book, so you’re all set if you wish to actually compete with this ammo. #9 is the smallest commonly loaded shot size. It’s good for hunting only the tiniest of birds, but its efficacy for skeet is undisputed. You could certainly shoot trap or sporting clays with this ammo if yoU’d like!

Federal makes a reloadable plastic hull with a brass-plated head. Their powder and primer both spark to life fast and without producing much barrel fouling. Each shell’s hard lead shot patterns even more consistently by virtue of its quality wad.
