Too many avid waterfowl hunters think they’re forced to make do with steel while they’re prowling America’s wetlands. Not so! Bismuth is equally nontoxic, but it’s also substantially denser than steel so it can hit much harder on impact.

This 3” 20 Gauge shell by Hevi-Shot is loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of #2 bismuth shot, making it ideal for bagging honkers and high-flying ducks. Whereas steel’s density is only 8 g/cc, bismuth boasts a density of 9.6 g/cc – only 1.4 g/cc less dense than traditional lead! That’s why this shell’s shot is able to retain so much more downrange momentum, which is made all the more effective for taking birds by its brisk 1,400 fps muzzle velocity. And to sweeten the deal even further, bismuth shot is perfectly safe for older fixed choke and classic double-barrel shotguns!

Hevi-Shot’s ammo is engineered to deliver consistent recoil and point of aim over a wide range of temperatures, and it also resists water infiltration. Once this ammo’s non-corrosive primers, clean-burning powder and tight-patterning wads have been all used up, you can restore life to its hulls at your reloading bench.
