The bullet’s hollow point nose cavity does make it ever so slightly less aerodynamic, but it also enables it to widen out upon entering a varmint’s soft body. The bullet is a little lighter than normal at 36 grains. Less inertia means the projectile will clear a rifle’s barrel at a rate of 1,280 fps. It will cycle a semi-automatic, make a sharp cracking report, and continue on to follow a flat trajectory which will remain supersonic until approximately 40 yards.
Remington’s American-made rimfire ammo is loaded with smooth, concentric and uniform brass cases, as well as clean-igniting components which won’t rust or quickly foul up your rifle or pistol. Packaged in attractive clear plastic boxes, no less. Yowzers!
