This 22 LR ammo is made by Cascade Cartridge International. They were started up by CCI of Idaho back in the late ‘50s, and today are headquartered in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Cascade specializes in budget-friendly rimfire ammo, so this round is poised to poke holes through targets but not through your savings.

This round’s bullet weighs 37 grains. A little on the lighter side for what we normally see on a 22, and the round takes advantage of that to deliver a supersonic muzzle velocity. The bullet itself is a classic copper plated hollow point. Its core is kept from coming into close contact with a barrel’s rifling in order to prevent the rapid accumulation of lead residue, which effectively preserves a firearm’s accuracy. Its nose cavity responds to resistance from soft tissue by initiating expansion, helping deal accentuated damage to varmints.

This round is brass cased, and its non-corrosive rimfire primer and smokeless propellant are both optimized to reduce barrel fouling. Just don’t set this box of Grey Camo down where you won’t be able to find it!
