Remington makes Performance WheelGun 22 ammunition for all the 22 LR revolver lovers out there. Big Green hasn’t disclosed the length of the barrel they used to record that 770 fps muzzle velocity, but suffice to say your revolver’s going to be *real quiet* while it’s spitting out subsonic bullets.
The truncated cone solid sounds a lot fancier than it really is. Picture a traffic cone. Lop off the top 12 or so inches. It’s now shaped approximately the same as this round’s lead, unplated, 39 grain bullet’s tip. It’s accurate, and it nips a satisfactorily clean hole through paper or cardboard, and it’s not built for hunting (but assuredly capable of ending a varmint with the right shot placement, bearing this subsonic round’s extremely weak striking energy in mind).
