This well-made cartridge is loaded with a 40 grain copper-plated round nose bullet. As a solid point it is unable to expand, but that rounded nose profile does provide smooth feeding into a mag-fed firearm’s chamber. The CPRN’s copper plating also promotes greater accuracy, as it decelerates lead fouling within the barrel so the rifling can continue to do its important job of stabilizing the bullets that pass through it.
We’re not saying a solid point bullet is ideal for varmint hunting, but we also don’t want to get reincarnated as a chipmunk and subsequently get struck by one. Our acorn gathering days would be numbered.
Aguila mints high-quality brass cases, which they prime with non-corrosive explosive compound and load with clean-burning powder. American shooters love Aguila, and who could be a better judge than that?
