This 22 LR cartridge is from Aguila’s Interceptor line of ammunition. What does it intercept, you might ask? Virtually anything, because Aguila boasts that this round delivers the fastest muzzle velocity of any 40 grain 22 LR on the market. With its 1,470 fps muzzle velocity this round’s exceedingly flat trajectory provides the accuracy you need to hit the centers of targets, the caps off of emptied two liter bottles, and whichever vital you deem calls for perforating within a wascally wabbit.

This round’s 40 grain bullet is a copper plated solid point. It won’t mushroom during penetration, but the 113 ft/lb energy it supplies at 100 yards will prove ample enough power to make a quick kill nonetheless. This bullet’s plating keeps it from mucking up your rifle’s or pistol’s bore with lead residue. Aguila’s brass casing, non-corrosive rimfire primer, and clean burning propellant are all up to whatever task you’d engage them in, making this a versatile and cost-effective round indeed.
