This 22 LR cartridge is from Winchester’s Super-X line of ammunition, which offers tried and true approaches to every kind of shooting you could imagine.

The shooting we’re talking about here is target practice and varmint hunting. This hyper velocity round’s 40 grain projectile issues out of the muzzle at 1,435 fps, a speed usually only observed out of lighter bullets. As such you can expect a flat trajectory that doesn’t dip below the sound barrier before 80 yards out!

This round’s bullet wears a thin sheet of copper, which serves to keep a bore’s riflings cleaner and thus better able to serve their stabilizing function. It also has a hollow point, which enables it to distribute more of its energy before passing through a smaller varmint. With over 100 ft lbs of energy to transfer at 100 yards, that makes this round especially fatal to small woodland creatures.
