Maybe you’d like to make less of a ruckus while you’re toning up your aim in your backyard. Maybe you’re training a very young shooter whose first experience with a firearm wouldn’t be improved by very loud reports. (They can fire the 460 Weatherby Magnum when they get a little older.) Whatever your reason for wanting quiet 22 LR ammunition, Aguila Subsonic will take good care of you!
This cartridge has a normal 40 grain lead round nose bullet. It’s not poised to do very much damage to a varmint, and its relatively low muzzle velocity does give it a comparatively steep trajectory, though it is certainly an accurate enough projectile for target practice and plinking. But take heed: This round’s lighter chamber pressure may not prove sufficient to fully cycle a semi-automatic rifle or handgun.
