Browning aptly introduced their PRO22 line of ammunition in 2022. This right here is precision 22 LR ammo – perfect for when you’re trying to group your shots closer together than the freckles on a flea’s backside.

This cartridge is loaded with a 40 grain lead round nose bullet. It’s a high-quality example of an LRN, with a ballistically efficient nose profile and even weight distribution. The bullet is only going to achieve a muzzle velocity of 1,085 fps upon clearing a rifle barrel, and that’s the primary reason for its precise trajectory. A bullet which can’t undergo transonic destabilization will not pick up a wobble before it can reach its target!

Browning goes one step further by giving each PRO22 round a precise target crimp. That ensures every bullet in this case of 2,000 shares virtually identical alignment, which in turn provides consistent chambering and engagement with the rifling.
