The 22 Long Rifle: select cartridge for match shooters and squirrel hunters alike. When you select Eley of England to tend to your 22 LR shooting needs, you’re signing up for some of the greatest accuracy the cartridge can produce – especially when it comes to Eley’s Action label match grade ammo.

This little guy sports a 42 grain lead round nose projectile. The bullet possesses a streamlined, ballistically efficient rounded ogive, and one which also provides smooth feeding in a semi-automatic firearm. This round’s bullet has two rings of knurling, the crevices of which contain friction reducing paraffin wax that promote even smoother chambering.

This is a subsonic cartridge, with a muzzle velocity under 1,100 fps. Thanks to that it’s far less obtrusive when you’d like to enjoy more discreet backyard training and target practice. It’s a low recoil cartridge as well, easy to fire rapidly especially when you consider how efficiently its specially shaped and lubricated bullet chambers. Eley’s brass case is cut to seat that accurate bullet at a perfect depth, and equipped with a sensitive, non-corrosive rimfire primer for surefire ignition.
