Do you want to hunt proper? Embrace the power of copper! This 300 Winchester Magnum cartridge by Barnes of Utah is outfitted with the one and only Long-Range X boat tail. The lead-free bullet won’t just conserve the environment. It won’t just fly straight and true. It will also dig a deep and wide hole into your prey of choice!

This round’s monolithic bullet is extremely accurate. Its sharp blue polymer tip seamlessly transitions to its sleek shank, which ultimately tapers off to a low-drag boat tail. Pressure-relieving grooves machined into the long bullet’s shank reduce the amount of contact it can have with the bore, which reduces copper fouling while simultaneously eliminating lead fouling. If you like ballistic coefficients, then you will love this round’s 0.499 G1 BC! (Barnes advises a 1:10” or faster barrel twist for this bullet).

The LRX BT is hiding a hollow point nose cavity beneath its polymer tip. Impact drives the tip deep down in there to initiate truly devastating terminal expansion, which takes the form of four sharp curling petals which almost double the bullet’s original 0.308” diameter. And because copper is such a tough metal, the LRX BT is able to retain all the weight it requires to pierce hide and penetrate deeply into its target.

Brass cases offer a couple of awesome benefits when they’re nickel-plated: extra corrosion resistance, which is crucial if you’re hunting somewhere damp, and smoother feeding and extraction in any kind of rifle.
