Don’t let this 308 Win ammunition by Barnaul deceive you! Although its cases may look like they are made of brass, they are in fact made of steel with a thin brass-plated exterior. The steel case’s brass plating helps to safeguard it from corrosion, and it also makes each round smoother to promote more reliable feeding and extraction.

This cartridge is loaded with a light and fast-flying 145 grain full metal jacket. This is also important: Although the FMJ has a lead core, its jacket is made of steel with a thin copper-wash exterior. The bi-metal jacket will attract a magnet, and it is accordingly impermissible at commercial ranges which ban magnetic ammunition.

Barnaul’s Russian-made ammo is loaded with non-corrosive Berdan primers, which are sealed for added protection in storage. Berdan-primed steel cases are practically impossible to reload, so please do not order this ammo if you intend to use its cases at your reloading press!
