This round features Browning’s 144 grain Rapid Expansion Matrix Tip projectile. The sleek, aerodynamic bullet has a superb ballistic coefficient for its caliber at 0.498, so it retains at least 1,000 ft lbs of energy up until around 630 yards. The deer never have to see you coming.

This bullet’s polymer tip reliably initiates rapid expansion even at lower downrange velocities. As the tip pierces deeper and deeper into its alloyed lead core, it forces the jacket progressively outward to generate massive knockdown power.

Browning gave this high quality hunting cartridge the coup de grâce by nickel-plating its new production brass case. Typically seen in self-defense rounds, nickel plating facilitates the smoothest feeding and extraction in bolt-action rifles as well. This round is furthermore naturally resistant to corrosion, and with its non-corrosive Boxer primer will keep your rifle’s barrel safe from rust.
