Don’t let this 9mm +P ammo’s lightweight bullet deceive you! Liberty Ammunition Civil Defense ammo is designed to neutralize the threat. One of these rounds penetrates a block of ballistic gelatin to a depth of 12”, and its terminal expansion expansion is 3.5” at its widest point!

This cartridge’s bullet weighs only 50 grains because it is made of solid copper instead of lead. As a 9mm +P, the round is loaded to higher than standard pressure to propel that bullet to a velocity of around 2,000 to 2,040 fps. At close range it hits its target with about as much energy as a light 357 Mag load. That’s output is even more impressive considering that this round delivers about one-third less felt recoil than average for 9mm +P.

This round isn’t just effective for self-defense because it’s high energy. Its solid copper hollow point expands right after impact, and then immediately fragments into a starburst formation. Each piece of copper tracks its own individual wound channel behind it.

Nickel-plated brass cases are an indicator of higher-quality self-defense ammo. The plating protects the brass against corrosion, and also lowers friction to improve performance in a semi-automatic. Make sure your firearm is rated for +P before loading this ammo!
