Speer Ammunition was started in 1943 by a shooter himself who was frustrated by the lack of reloading components supply available for himself and his fellow gunman. Speer Ammo claims to understand the ammunition needs of shooters because Speer Ammo is comprised of shooters who know what works and what doesn't work.
Perhaps Speer Ammo is best known for their Lawman line of ammo which is very popular on LuckyGunner.com. Lawman was debuted over 35 years ago and has earned a reputation of being a high-performance and reliable product. Speer's Lawman brand is competitively priced and made up of reloadable cases, clean-burning propellants and reliable CCI primers!
Speer Ammunition is manufactured in Lewistown, Idaho.

For the money I've always been impressed with the quality and packaging of this ammo. Get some!

Failures with the p938
Review by Ryan
Bought 50 rounds to test for defence ammo.
*Put about 27 rounds through my Sig p938 and stopped testing after it failed to feed for the fourth time.
*Fired the rest from a p365 with no failures.
Pretty disappointed by what appeared to be a great round. Back to the drawing board I guess.

This heavier grain ammo is perfect for 1/7 twist AR barrels. Plus Speer Gold Dots are industry standards, perform great.

This is a Great Caliber, regardless of all the ney-sayers /
Carried this Caliber last 5 years of a 42 year career in Law Enforcement and it saved me twice . NO 9 mm would have !
That would be this same round in Hollow P of course

go-to training ammo
Review by Jay
I have 3 boxes to go in my second case of 124gr Lawman, and it has performed flawlessly. Including the individual boxes I've bought because I didn't bring enough to the range, it has gone bang over 2000 times, produces great groups, and is very clean.

Two stovepipes in 1500-2000 rounds
Review by DJ
Lawman performs better on my CZ 75 SP-01 than any other cartridge I have tried. It seems as accurate as I am too. By “any other” I mean those of which I have fired at least 250 rounds.

Just ran close to 300 round through S&W M&P with no issues, no weird ejection trajectories! Almost as clean as WinClean but nothing to complain about. Just ordered another 500 rounds so...I guess I like them. And as always LuckyGunner gets it out the door before I hit submit. thank yous

Great target load
Review by Upsurt
I weighed all 50 rounds in box. All were within .1 grams. Consistent ammo, no ftf or fte in sig 290. Honestly I prefer Speer over Remington and Winchester after this.

Dead on !
Review by Tanker
Shoots a 1.5 " group at 15 yards out of my 4.25" barrelled 1911 . 15 yards equals 45 ft. so it's a perfect match to me . Hardly any fouling so it shoots clean and tight .

Favorite 327 load
Review by Longrifle032
Ran some of these, along with both 85 and 100 grain American Eagle through a Ruger LCR. They recoiled a little less than the 85's and significantly less than the 100's these will be my carry ammo for the LCR. Great stuff, I recommend it highly.

Reliable accuracy and expansion
Review by flynbenny
I have shot nearly 100 of this load through my S&W 351C. No misfires and shoots to point of aim in that gun out to 25 yards.
Very clean, I found little or no unburned powder in the barrel or cylinder after firing an entire box.
I also fired a couple rounds into some defrosted water gel cooler packs like you get in shipments from Blue Apron. I found them 10 bags in, and both rounds expanded well. The Hornady Critical Defense round penetrated a couple more bags, and is a little less costly.
Still, I wouldn’t hesitate to load my gun with the Gold Dots, .22 Mag may not be the best choice for a primary weapon but these are an excellent choice in the available defense oriented .22 magnum ammo.

Great version of a great round. If you're on the fence about whether to get a .327 for CCW because of ammo availability, remember: you don't need a lot of ammo for a .327 CCW revolver to perform its function for you. If you want to bust off a lot of rounds, there are other guns/calibers for that.

Reliable and accurate
Review by Mannyspd1
100 % function rate out of my Gen 4 Glock 20 with both the stock barrel and a 6" KKM stainless aftermarket barrel. Accuracy was very good out to 25 yards. Ammo chrono'd a muzzle velocity of 1036 fps for the stock Glock barrel, for 476 ft lbs. The 6" barrel produced 1128 fps with 564 ft lbs at the muzzle. While not the full blown super 10mm ammo, this factory ammo with the proven Gold Dot bullet, is controllable, powerful, accurate, and reliable, which makes it great for use as a defense weapon.

Outstanding 9mm Round
Review by NC Guy
I have been relying on the 9mm 115 grain Speer Gold Dot for over 20 years. It's consistently reliable, widely available, reasonably priced, easily controllable, and performs extremely well. This 115 grain bullet penetrates more than adequately (I would not want it to penetrate any more than it does), and expands reliably. I truly feel that Speer found the sweet spot and really nailed it with this round.
