The Hornady V-MAX is designed specifically for varmint hunting, featuring a polymer tip over a thin jacket that promotes rapid, explosive expansion. Upon impact, the tip drives into the lead core, initiating violent fragmentation that anchors small game instantly without exit wounds (reducing ricochet risk and pelt damage for fur hunters).
