Remington wants you to have the agreeably priced and no less reliable 22-250 Rem ammunition you’ll need while fulfilling so noble a duty. This American-made round releases a 50 grain jacketed hollow point on the quarry: a lead-core, copper-sheathed bullet that cruises along a level trajectory until impact, at which point it expands and breaks apart some in the process. Such terminal performance is what varmints and predators widely refer to as “the end of the line.”

Remington recorded the bullet’s G1 BC at 0.192, and its 3,820 fps muzzle velocity with a 24” test barrel. Real-world performance invariably varies, but here is a realistic snapshot of the bullet’s 150-yard ballistics:
