Details

TAP FPD ammunition offers exceptional accuracy with great terminal ballistics making it a choice of many law enforcement professionals. The Hollow Point projectile results in increased expansion and reduces the risk of over penetration. Furthermore, nickel plated casings are chosen to eliminate corrosion and improve feeding with a lower friction coefficient associated with nickel over brass.

The propellants used in this product are specially designed to reduce muzzle flash at night minimizing the loss of night vision.

Each round is brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable.

Lucky Gunner Ammo ( Sun, 23 Dec 2012 18:52:40 +0000 ) : Using a .223 rifleto deer hunt is not legal in many states so be sure your local laws allow. The .223 is thought of more as a varmint/defense caliber, but many do use .223 when that is what they have available. This cartridge will certainly work in a pinch, and as always, shot placement is king. Good head/neck shots would be more certain of dropping a deer quickly where a lung shot may take some tracking. A heavier grain weight and perhaps soft point round might make the .223 more effective.

It's funny, I bought this ammo for my lock and load ammo but I always shoot my plinking ammo when I want to shoot my M4. Anyway, last week I thought I should at least crack off a few rounds just to see how it shoots. Wouldn't you know it first round was a ftf. Nice firing pin indent so I reloaded it with the same result. After that no problems and the patterns were definitely better that the ones I get with my cheaper ammo.Glad I got that one out of the way as it would have been my first shot when it really counted.
