Note: Remington's bullet type designation "metal case" is essentially the equivalent of full metal jacket.
Video Transcript:
This is a Remington UMC 250 round megapack. The UMC line dates back to the mid 1800s with the Union Metallic Cartridge Company. They merged with Remington in the early 1900s to become what was then called Remington UMC. Eventually, the UMC part was dropped from the company name. But Remington started using the initials to refer to their value line of target and range ammo.
UMC is now one of the most popular ammo brands in the country. If you shoot a lot of 9 millimeter, you'll really appreciate the value of the megapack. The box contains a stack of five 50 round trays with a cardboard pull tab for easy access. The reloadable brass cases feature a non-corrosive primer.
Seated in the case is a 115 grain lead core bullet with a copper jacket. Remington calls this a metal case. But it's the same as the full metal jacket that you're used to shooting.
We fired through the 250 round box using six different guns, one carbine and five pistols. We didn't have a single malfunction. And each gun fed and ejected the UMC cartridges with no problem.
Like most UMC ammo, the recoil was moderate and typical for a practice load. After testing the ammo for function, we set up the sandbags and tried out the UMC loads from a bench at 20 yards. The Beretta carbine was able to put the rounds right on top of each other in a nice group just a little low and right of the point of aim.
Remington's UMC line is always a dependable choice for any range application. These 250 round megapacks are an incredible value for an American made brass cased load.

I shot around 200 rounds through my Glock 19 and no real issues. Just a couple of observations; the bullet seemed to be slightly larger in diameter than what I am used to which made loading the last round a little challenging, noticed more smoke and residue than usual.Performance Value Quality
Still a fine product for my purposes.
