Jason Thompson ( Thu, 09 May 2013 04:03:23 +0000 ) : Glad I bought that Aguila from midway while they had it for 39.99
Christopher Freeman ( Fri, 17 May 2013 19:23:21 +0000 ) : California stores sold out in 5 minutes of arrival with limits set at 1 box per customer need more manufacturing plants.
Torrey Schonder ( Mon, 17 Jun 2013 15:31:04 +0000 ) : rip off these sell for 20$ or less on cabelas walmart baspro etc I hate price gouging.
Torrey Schonder ( Mon, 17 Jun 2013 18:09:51 +0000 ) : every vendor I see doing this I have made a list not to buy from ever again. I run a towing company and I would never do this very un ethical.shame on you guys for ripping off people these bullets don't cost you anymore from the suppliers so this is gouging.
Richard Jones ( Tue, 18 Jun 2013 14:04:49 +0000 ) : PRICE TO HIGH FOR 22 LR DOn't BUY PRICE WILL COME DOWN.
Jesse Lemons ( Tue, 18 Jun 2013 14:12:20 +0000 ) : Who wants to get ripped off?

Milt Hauck ( Wed, 19 Jun 2013 18:02:34 +0000 ) : Expensive.
Kevin Baker ( Fri, 21 Jun 2013 14:33:39 +0000 ) : $85 for 500 rnds of.22 lr this is crazy!
Christine Zellie Smith ( Sun, 23 Jun 2013 19:57:13 +0000 ) : The price for 22LR was about $35. for 500 rounds, & now it's $80-$140 in some places! No one is going to be able to afford to shoot their.22LR guns!
John Rawlston ( Tue, 25 Jun 2013 10:59:31 +0000 ) : bought 5,000 of these for 4 cents a round last November. 17 cents is crazy!
Andrew Kent Newsom ( Tue, 25 Jun 2013 19:33:02 +0000 ) : Love the live inventory system. I wish everyone did this.
Johnny Teale ( Mon, 08 Jul 2013 18:14:15 +0000 ) : limit? you want to limit? have you ot seen how many the government has bought? we should not be limited, screw your head on straight man.
Tobi McMurtry ( Wed, 10 Jul 2013 01:51:20 +0000 ) : My 500 pack of Thunderbolts from Midway USA arrived yesterday - $20.99 plus $5 shipping with other ammo items... You guys must buy from places like Midway USA and resell. $89 is robbery.
Jimmie Montgomery ( Sat, 13 Jul 2013 17:07:08 +0000 ) : the reason for the lack of ammo isn't as sinister as everyone thinks. It has more to do with the availability of copper. EPA shut down the mine in Eley Nv. and we have to buy our copper on the world market, highest bidder.
John Eagen ( Sun, 14 Jul 2013 22:55:50 +0000 ) : Is anyone actually spending $90 on a $20 box of bulk.22?
Robert Passman ( Tue, 16 Jul 2013 14:46:14 +0000 ) : Don't buy these for that price they're cheaper elsewhere and thunderbolts weren't worth $20 bucks a year ago. You will have 50 rds that don't fire.
Aj Smith ( Tue, 16 Jul 2013 22:21:35 +0000 ) : REMEMBER A YEAR AGO, YOU COULD BUY 525 ROUNDS OF 22LR AT WALMART FOR LESS THAN 30.00. AND IT WAS REMINGTON. DAMN CRAZY
Aj Smith ( Thu, 05 Sep 2013 22:23:03 +0000 ) : BEFORE CONN SHOOTING. I COULD BUY THIS SAME PRODUCT AT WALMART ACUTALY IT WAS 555 ROUNDS AND IT WAS 35.13 INC TAX... IT HAS WENT UP 54.00. THAT's CRAZY. ALL OTHER AMMO HASn't DOUBLED IN PRICE.. 22LR IS CRAZY IN PRICE. STOP THE INSANITY.
Sam Clark ( Wed, 11 Sep 2013 11:35:42 +0000 ) : just like the tree huggers to go after a copper mine. I wonder what kind of shoes these bozos wear. leather? do you think that cow gave up that hide willingly. stupid....
Sam Clark ( Wed, 11 Sep 2013 11:38:11 +0000 ) : they workers at the stores are calling their buddies as soon as a shipment comes in. they buy up everything in stock then post all the stuff they bought on gunbrokers for 4X the price they paid. pisses me off to no end
Randy Baker ( Wed, 11 Sep 2013 21:59:56 +0000 ) : I just bought a box of these for 22 bucks at dick's sporting goods this is a total rip off
Joel Kinnaird ( Fri, 13 Sep 2013 13:30:51 +0000 ) : Rip-off! I paid 21.99 at Cabelas for this!
Joe Schroeder ( Fri, 13 Sep 2013 16:50:56 +0000 ) : Lotta gougers out there. Same guys who complain that oil companies gouge on gasoline prices gouge their customers on ammo.
Steven Carmichael ( Fri, 13 Sep 2013 23:03:21 +0000 ) : $20 on Midway earlier today. If you keep watching Midway and cabelas you will score some 22LR at normal prices.
Kris Pospiech ( Sun, 15 Sep 2013 23:46:45 +0000 ) : way too expensive, its no wonder they have 175 bricks in stock that thay tripled the price on to intentionaly gouge the consumer, the hell with 18 cents a round wait until the dust settles, then they will be screwed and we can buy 22lr at 5 xcents a round again.
Its too bad Harry Stamper died on the asteroid. He would know what to do. ( Sun, 15 Sep 2013 23:54:59 +0000 ) : Been showing up on Cabelas and Midway for $20 recently. Keep watching.
Fred Fournier ( Mon, 16 Sep 2013 04:51:23 +0000 ) : Yup, this place is a ripoff. I bought 500 rounds of this ammo 6 days ago for 33.00 and change from a local gun shop. I won't buy anything from this place, no matter what the price. I won't support people that have this type of attitude.
Its too bad Harry Stamper died on the asteroid. He would know what to do. ( Mon, 16 Sep 2013 13:23:44 +0000 ) : Lately these have been showing up on Cabelas and Midway for around $20.00. I have had my best luck on Tuesdays with these sites.
Denno Nate ( Tue, 17 Sep 2013 03:09:03 +0000 ) : Only $20 at Midway and Cabelas. New stock showing up throughout the day. Keep checking.
Denno Nate ( Tue, 17 Sep 2013 03:09:55 +0000 ) : Also, its interesting that Lucky Gunner has disabled posting to their facebook page.
Jeremy Hansen ( Thu, 19 Sep 2013 01:38:59 +0000 ) : Sam Clark you are an idiot
David Newman ( Thu, 19 Sep 2013 11:57:24 +0000 ) : If that were true, all ammo would be short, not just .22LR Large case brass (like say a 30-06 would really be short) And surplus .22 would still be out there.
Alan Kowalsky ( Thu, 19 Sep 2013 13:29:09 +0000 ) : I just bought this Thunderbolt ammo for $2.20 a box at Walmart. Whats going on here ?
Alan Kowalsky ( Thu, 19 Sep 2013 17:07:01 +0000 ) : I just bought boxes of fify for $2.20 at Wal Mart. These guys are hiking prices and best to wait until things calm down. This post was deleted by Lucky Gunner. I guess the truth hurts !
Steven Carmichael ( Thu, 19 Sep 2013 23:44:35 +0000 ) : http://www.midwayusa.com/find?sortby=1&itemsperpage=24&newcategorydimensionid=16327&statuses=In%20Stock
Gary Owens ( Fri, 20 Sep 2013 01:57:52 +0000 ) : Just bought this same box at Dick's this afternoon for 22.99. Wow what a rip off...
Shannon Lay ( Tue, 24 Sep 2013 02:17:42 +0000 ) : Too expensive. If people keep paying ridiculous prices for ammo, it will soon be like gas. Oh, wait...it already is. :(
Steven Carmichael ( Tue, 24 Sep 2013 04:23:16 +0000 ) : Watch Midway. They keep popping up for $20.00 over there. Last time was only 20 minutes ago. Got mini-mags last week $0.07 per round.
David M Tarrant ( Fri, 25 Oct 2013 22:16:59 +0000 ) : There is no shortage of copper...my how rumors fly.
Wm Kail ( Thu, 07 Nov 2013 10:58:58 +0000 ) : Relax with the largest FRAUD and Incompetent "Gun Grabber" in the White House - Wake Up!
David Norwood ( Mon, 18 Nov 2013 21:11:14 +0000 ) : when they have them you can get the same ammo on Midwayusa for 21.00
David Norwood ( Mon, 18 Nov 2013 21:14:18 +0000 ) : 80 bucks on here another site has same for 90bucks
Rick Ferguson ( Tue, 19 Nov 2013 19:25:57 +0000 ) : Ya but I just tried to buy one and no
Rick Ferguson ( Tue, 19 Nov 2013 19:27:14 +0000 ) : To much money found some for half that
Steven Carmichael ( Wed, 20 Nov 2013 15:07:30 +0000 ) : David Norwood Keep checking Cabelas. They show up there often at 21.00 with $5 shipping. I have had my best luck in the mornings.
Tom Brown III ( Thu, 21 Nov 2013 03:43:44 +0000 ) : it was the lead smelting facility and that isn't what is causing this "shortage" if that has any effects on ammuniton availablity and prices at all it wont be until it after it actually shuts down which is slated for feb I think AND all the material in ammo makes warehouses is used up or almost used up. Similar to inflation, we don't see the effects of the fed screwing with interest rates and our money supply until 2 or 3 years down the road.
Jimmie Montgomery ( Thu, 21 Nov 2013 18:51:13 +0000 ) : DaMy gun store guy told me it's simply hoarding and selling for twice the amount This is a gouge amount at $80 I just bought a brick of Federal for $50 vid Newman
Daniel Bowler ( Fri, 22 Nov 2013 01:48:55 +0000 ) : I think that it is truly sad that our kids can't go out plinking like we did when we were their age. Cant find .22lr ammo & when I do its at least four times more than what it used to cost. We used to smoke through two or 3 bricks on any given weekend. Not any more.
Steven Carmichael ( Fri, 22 Nov 2013 18:44:42 +0000 ) : Keep watching Cabelas web site. Bricks of Thunderbolt have been showing up some mornings for $20 with $5 shipping.
Michael Leggett ( Wed, 27 Nov 2013 12:13:56 +0000 ) : What a rip off I just got the same ammo for 32.99 a box I will never buy ammo from this place
Lee Eastburn ( Fri, 29 Nov 2013 03:38:52 +0000 ) : Canadian sister stores to Dick's or Gander Mtn stores have pallets full of .22LR at normal prices down the center isles. "shortage" ?!!?!!? I think not. Thx "leaders" of the US gov't
Jay Dillon ( Sat, 30 Nov 2013 03:36:07 +0000 ) : Are you kidding me? Why are you taking advantage of people? Stores are still getting it in at somewhat normal prices, but people are waiting in line to buy it up, especially resale shops. I got lucky, right place at the right time and got a box of this for 22.99. Guess you are coming off my list to support!
Ted Rogers ( Thu, 13 Feb 2014 00:31:04 +0000 ) : Probably because they don't have hoarders and scalpers camping out in front and buying everything that they can as soon as it goes on the shelf. Don't blame the government...we're doing it to ourselves.
Jed Burkhart ( Thu, 13 Feb 2014 13:41:00 +0000 ) : Not your fault Lucky Gunner, but, I never thought I would see a brick go for 80.00$ Guess that makes me old and this brave new world isn't the one I was born into.
Dan Greenley ( Thu, 13 Feb 2014 22:24:11 +0000 ) : nra just told me that the government is buying all the 22 ammo as fast as it is produced to keep out of our hands
Karl Anders Wicklund ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 03:45:16 +0000 ) : This is asinine. I just bought this for $21.99 at Sportsman's. Pure greed Lucky Gunner. Especially for crap ammo like this. Despicable
Richard McKusker ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 04:13:21 +0000 ) : +1, what a ripoff!!!!
Steven Carmichael ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 04:26:32 +0000 ) : http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/rimfire/22lr/
Mike Giles ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 09:56:41 +0000 ) : 75% of the copper produced in the US is mined at the Kinnecott mine in SLC, UT not the old mine in Ely, NV. Mike Giles from NV
Darrell Taylor ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 14:05:07 +0000 ) : The only store I have found that is not ripping us off on .22 ammo is Cabela. They are no different than any one else in that they get a limited supply. The difference is I bought a brick of 500 rounds of Blazer in a local store for $23.95 plus local sales tax just LAST WEEK! They are also fair as they limit one per customer. Therefore I know the $80.00 a brick sellers paid the very came price or close as Cabela did but they want to make 4/5/6 times more on you! .22 ammo is staring to catch up with demand now and I see a dozen or more places on line trying to sell it instead of the "out of stock" that used to be on their site. Most want to give the high rip prices a shot but if we don't buy it they can let it gather dust on the shelf! Also--when we refuse to keep paying the RIP prices these sellers will get real in a hurry!
Thomas R Burnsed Jr ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 15:28:51 +0000 ) : What government agent is issued a .22 as a sidearm? None that I know of.
Thomas R Burnsed Jr ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 15:31:05 +0000 ) : Overpriced crap ammo. Should be $20 a brick or less. Remington Golden Bullets were $19 per 525 and are slightly better ammo. For $80 a brick I can get Eley Club or SK + which are far superior.
Darrell Taylor ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 15:45:49 +0000 ) : Absolutely right Thomas and the government is NOT hoarding .22. Obama starts the BS with gun control talk and ammo registering etc. and all the other BS. People PANIC and instead of buying a few boxes that they may actually use they buy it all or what ever a dealer will allow them to. Result is some hoard 1000's of rounds they will never use but that drives up the old "supply and demand" theory so sellers jump on the ammo "shortage" and start their price gouging. Truth is, if we stop buying it they will be the ones with the hoard they can't move at rip prices. Everything will be back to pre-Obama BS and 500 rounds will be under $25.00 a brick all over the country! End of story! More and more dealers now have .22 in stock and it will only get better!
Steven Carmichael ( Fri, 14 Feb 2014 17:14:34 +0000 ) : Cabelas' shipping for a brick is not too bad either.
Martin Gentle ( Sat, 15 Feb 2014 15:18:37 +0000 ) : Anybody that would pay $80.00 a brick is a fool.
Martin Gentle ( Sat, 15 Feb 2014 15:28:17 +0000 ) : Darrell Taylor You are right. The same thing happened with the AR-15.People buying them for $2000.00 and now they are back to normal prices. And people paying these ridiculous prices are just fueling the price gouging!
Darrell Taylor ( Sat, 15 Feb 2014 20:58:35 +0000 ) : Martin Gentle I Just got mind today. The Swamp People alligator ammo lol! Not looking to choot a gator but not a bad price. My son in Greenfield Ohio just bought a 325 round pack for $17.95 at the local Shopko. .22 is definitely becoming available in more and more locations. The key is to stop buying at rip off prices . The one box to a customer is a big thing also as that keeps the big boys from buying it all and trying to resale at 4-5 times the list price! This ".22 shortage" is exactly what others have already said. It was caused by hoarders and people trying to buy large amounts to cash in on! Let them drown in it!
Darrell Taylor ( Sat, 15 Feb 2014 21:05:44 +0000 ) : As far as the government buying up all the .22, How is it I can buy all the .223 ammo I can afford! The AR-15 and the like is what Obama was referring to. Also, ammo is available by the huge tins for AK 47 and SKS. I think common sense tells us the "government" is not more afraid of .22 shooting weapons than they are the military types! Same thing with .38 special/ 9mm and .40 cal. hand guns. I can buy 1000's of rounds any day of the week!
Dan Nance ( Mon, 17 Feb 2014 15:09:40 +0000 ) : Cost is way too high. The ammo shortage is suppose to be pretty much over. I'm going to wait til the price goes down. I've got enough on hand for now.
David Ackley ( Tue, 18 Feb 2014 04:59:08 +0000 ) : If people keep charging 4 times more for the ammo and idiots keep paying it this ammo shortage will never stop. Once you have 1000 rounds stop buying it, let other people get some too. If we take away the insanely high demand then the price will gradually fall. But I agree that it is very sad that cheap ammo is gone forever because people that horde and resell for 4 times more are greedy and selfish.
David Ackley ( Tue, 18 Feb 2014 05:05:48 +0000 ) : Its because of greedy people and companies like gunbroker.com, lucky gunner.com and local gun shops that jack up the price on ammo that should be no more than $0.04 per shot to up to $0.24 a shot. People that horde ammo are creating to true shortage. Let people that need ammo get it. It's sad that cheap ammo is a thing of the past because people are just plain greedy. If we can stop the demand for awhile maybe the backorders on websites can catch up and we could get some ammo without the middle man robbing us. I think its truly appalling and these businesses should be ashamed of themselves.
Darrell Taylor ( Tue, 18 Feb 2014 15:58:30 +0000 ) : The fair dealers still sell 50 rounds for 2-3 dollar range. One dealer I know advertises ammo on line at fair prices but keeps an 'out of stock" posted on all .22 cartridges. His local customers can always buy them right in the store at the pre rip price.
Paul Reiman ( Tue, 18 Feb 2014 18:20:17 +0000 ) : Anything over $6.5 cents is over priced for most 22lr ammunition ..
John Bell ( Tue, 18 Feb 2014 23:00:08 +0000 ) : In the NRA dreams. No govt issues side arms in.22.
Tom Reeves ( Wed, 19 Feb 2014 08:13:37 +0000 ) : This is a ripoff!! This ammo is the worst junk I ever put in a gun!! Shame on you Lucky Gunner for selling junk at such a high price.
Charles W. Travis ( Wed, 19 Feb 2014 22:29:50 +0000 ) : I will NOT pay even this robbery price, even if I run out! These people think they have us over a barrel, but they don't!
Al Bordeau ( Thu, 20 Feb 2014 01:56:08 +0000 ) : I know ammo prices are outrageous. I'd have to drive 20 miles every day to buy one box. At least Lucky Gunner tells you the ammo is in stock. As far as I know you could buy all they have. I teach youngsters firearms safety. I don't need thousands of .22 Lr. I only buy what I need. and LG has come thru for me every time. I have no complaints.

I am very happy with the ammo which I purchased from you. It feels good to be able to go to the range again and just plink away at targets. It's so darn hard to find ammo anymore, and it was nice to be able to purchase it from you. Seeing the smiles on the kids faces at the range as they become our future generations of hunters makes the little extra we have to pay for the ammo a little more tolerable. Thanks again, Dan (Posted on 3/19/14)

Tired of paying gun show fees to find cheap ammo because gun stores are overpriced or out of stock.
After receiving my first purchase from Lucky Gunner they quickly became my ammo source.
I ordered from Lucky gunner while out of state on Thursday. Drove home Saturday and the delivery truck pulled in my driveway behind me. Lucky Gunner has the products I want at competitive pricing, and speedy shipping.

Shipped out very fast. Love the service at LuckyGunner. As far as the Thunderbolts go, I guess be happy you can find .22s. They're ok for casual plinking, but just. The quality has gone down over the years. Velocities can be quite inconsistent (and no, I'm not using them for serious target shooting), and the occasional misfires are a bit annoying. Wasn't always like that. (Posted on 3/13/14)

This may not be the same for everyone but unfortunately this ammo didn't work well for me. I saw a couple videos on YouTube that mentioned that the ThunderBolt ammo would run good in a Mossberg 715t but that wasn't the case (for me anyway). For every 25rd magazine I experienced either a stovepipe or misfire. Very dissapointed in how this ammo runs. I've run Federal HP and CCI in my 715t and it runs great with no issues. This ammo turned out to be very dirty which I expected but I didn't expect it to run so terribly. In the end, the price was expensive (then again I can't buy 22lr anywhere locally so that's give or take) and the shipping was about 10 days which I also expected so just a heads up there.

On the bright side, LuckyGunner did ship it out right away and was very courteous during the process and kept me informed with automated e-mails about shipping & tracking so that was good. (Posted on 1/13/14)

The Remington Thunderbolt 22LR ammunition is a quality product that performs well in all of my firearms with zero problems cycling through my semi auto 22 rifle. Accuracy is good with 2 inch grouping from 50 - 75 yards. Would probably group tighter if it weren't for my shaky hands! (Posted on 12/18/13)

LG has the best pricing and inventory of ammo on the web. Orders are shipped on time as promised. I will continue to buy all of my bulk ammo from LG because they have it in stock at a lower price than I can buy locally AND I don't have to pay my 10% state sales tax. Now that's a deal. The ammo fired great with very little malfunctions. I fired about 200 rounds through my Ruger 10-22. Oh what fun I had. It was a fun and cheap day at the range.

Thank you LuckyGunner for maintaining a live inventory on your website. I have become totally fed up with the other sites "back order" notice only after you have entered all of your info and completed the purchase. This purchase was quick easy and I appreciate it. Keep it up. (Posted on 8/6/13)

Dirty Ammo Review by deadzed

Smoky, Dirty, garbage ammo. After about 150 rounds my barrel was so lead fouled that the rounds were hitting the paper sideways & several inches off the point of aim. It left my guns so dirty that I had to soak the barrels in cleaner overnight to remove all of the deposits. It cycled my Mark III just fine, but jammed often in my 10/22 & 1911-.22lr. I ended up giving the rest of the box away because I refuse to put any more of this trash through my guns. I've done just fine with Remington "Golden Bullets". I don't know why Remington produces such horrible ammo in the "Thunderbolt". they're about the same price point. (Posted on 7/11/13)
