The Grand Slam. To some it’s the highest achievement in baseball. To others it’s a big, greasy breakfast. But for hunters, Grand Slam is one of the best choices of ammunition for turkey. This 10 Gauge shotshell by Federal knocks a gobbler’s block off!

This shell is extra long at 3-1/2”, so it has the capacity for two whole ounces of #4 shot. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps, it’s going to deliver some kick. It’s also going to deliver a dense pattern over long distances, because the shot pellets are plated with hard copper to prevent them from flattening down. Federal also packs a Grand Slam shell’s shot column with an advanced buffering compound to absorb a good deal of energy during ignition, which averts virtually all shot deformation.

Federal’s acclaimed FliteControl Flex wad keeps a pattern even tighter. Compatible with both ported and standard turkey chokes, this wad erects stabilizing fins upon exiting the muzzle and possesses multiple side vents that allow clean separation from the shot shortly thereafter. Think of it as a sniping shotshell!

This shell is made all the better by Federal’s fine hull, head, primer and powder, with a tight roll crimp and clear card wad to keep its devastating payload in place until the firing pin falls.
