This shell is packed with two different types of buckshot: seven pellets of #4 buck (0.24” diameter), and four pellets of #1 buck (0.30” diameter). Sure, that’s just 5/8 ounces of shot, but once they accelerate to a velocity of 1,200 fps, they’re absolutely capable of putting down a coyote or a human-sized threat to your safety.
This ammo’s not just a novelty. Its 2-1/4 dram equivalent means that it produces very little recoil, as well as a surprisingly subtle report. This ammo also effectively increases a tubular magazine’s capacity. Come see how you can fit ten mini shells into a tube that typically fits six on our YouTube channel!
This ammo will not cycle a semi-automatic. It’s too short, and its chamber pressure is too weak. This ammo may also fail to cycle through a pump-action unless it has been modified to accept 1-3/4” shells.
