Federal makes their shot pellets hard and round to promote tighter, more effective patterns. Their gas-sealing paper wads, select propellant and trusty primers all serve the same purpose. And if you want to reload this ammo’s steel-capped hulls, you can go ahead and use conventional plastic wads if you so please.
